All areas of the DWP are understaffed and the jobcentre network is particularly hard hit, a PCS members’ meeting heard last week.
There will be a meeting for all members working in DWP on 10 January at 6pm to discuss the impact of the staffing crisis on staff and claimants and what can be done to fight against it.
The online meeting on Wednesday at 6pm for all DWP members will discuss the DWP Staffing Campaign.
PCS officials handed over a dossier at DWP HQ today (Tuesday 5 December), detailing the near collapse of benefit services and deliberate neglect of the most marginalised in society.
PCS officials have written to DWP bosses, urgently requesting a meeting to discuss the department’s staffing crisis which is severely impacting workers’ mental health and vital services.
