NEC elections now open

This is your opportunity to choose who runs the union and represents you on our national executive committee.

The national executive committee (NEC) is the governing body of PCS, responsible for running the union according to the policies decided by you and other members through our national annual delegate conferences and membership ballots.

Each year, PCS members vote to elect who is on the NEC. It is vitally important that you vote in this election. A good turnout in our elections strengthens the union and helps our representatives stand up for members. The NEC elections determine who makes the day to day decisions on how the union is run and what direction we take in our campaigns.

Watch a video from our general secretary, Fran Heathcote, explaining the importance of the NEC elections.

You can vote for the positions of president, deputy president and vice-presidents and ordinary member seats. It is a statutory ballot and therefore postal only.

Each candidate has written an election address (statement) to explain why you should vote for them. Please read them carefully before making your choice.

Download and read the election addresses.

The ballot opens on Thursday 18 April and closes at noon on Thursday 9 May.
