HeartUnions activities around the country

From Q&As and recruitment to learning events and public awareness raising, there’s plenty going on.

What’s coming up next week around the UK at PCS? Here’s a list below so do have a look at what’s happening near you. Support your reps and local branch by getting involved and showing some solidarity.

Monday 12 February

Birmingham, 54 Hagley Road: 12.30pm to 1.30pm
-    MoJ Mid West branch hosts a chat and Q&As about unions, PCS courses, equality networks, membership benefits etc.

Llanelli, Trallwm Area Community Hall, SA14 9AH: 10.30am to midday
-    Pop in for a coffee and a chat with PCS reps and comrades from Wales TUC, GMB, Unison, Unite, NEU and UCU.

Sheffield, Vulcan House - Steel reception: late morning to mid-afternoon
-    A stall run by Home Office Yorkshire and NE branch.

Taunton, Temple Methodist Church, trades council to leaflet local people and then enjoy a some soup and hot drinks.

Tuesday 13 February

Leeds, Quarry House canteen: 11.30am to 2pm 
-    A recruitment stall with DWP Leeds HQ branch and DHSC branch.

Liverpool, Robert Tressell Room, Jack Jones House, L3 8EG: 9.15am to 3.30pm
-    Union Learning Fund event. To attend, please contact Ann Ainsworth ann@pcs.org.uk 

Newcastle, Benton Park View: all day
-    A stall with DWP Tyneside and Northumbria branch and R&C Benton branch.

Wednesday 14 February

Birmingham, 2 Snow Hill: 12pm to 1pm
-    DfT Birmingham branch hosts a chat and Q&As about unions, PCS courses, equality networks, membership benefits etc.

Thursday 15 February

Birmingham, Centre City Tower: 12pm to 1pm
-    PSG OFWAT branch hosts a chat and Q&As about unions, PCS courses, equality networks, membership benefits etc.

Bristol, Temple Street Jobcentre: 11.30am to 2pm
-    DWP Bristol hosts a workplace stall for chat and Q&As.

Newcastle, Lancaster House: lunchtime
-    A stall run by DEFRA Northern branch to chat about local issues and highlight PCS in general.

Newcastle, Tyne View Park canteen: lunchtime
-    A stall with DWP Tyneside and Northumbria branch.

Friday 16 February

Weston-super-Mare, High Street: 11am to 1pm
-    Join Weston and North Somerset trades council’s HeartUnions stall. 

Tuesday 20 February

Birmingham, 3 Arena Central: 12pm to 2pm
-    R&C West Mercia branch hosts a chat and Q&As about unions, PCS courses, equality networks, membership benefits etc.

Thursday 22 February

Birmingham, The Cube: 10am to 1pm
-    DFT National Highways branch hosts a chat and Q&As about unions, PCS courses, equality networks, membership benefits etc.
