Countdown to general election - use your vote

With only a few days left until we go to the polls, make sure you have all the information you need before you vote.

The general election is almost upon us, taking place this Thursday (4 July). The election will likely see a change in government for the first time in 14 years and we are urging members to take part in democracy, have your say and vote.

Final information you may need before voting can be found on our dedicated election pages including links to polling station locations, your local candidates and briefings on all the main political manifestos.

Please remember in order to vote you need valid voter ID.

If you have the opportunity to meet any of your local candidates in the coming days, please share with them the PCS Charter detailing our key asks. Let us know how your candidates respond by emailing campaigns@pcs.org.uk

PCS members have had 14 years of austerity, endemic low pay, attacks on your rights and conditions at work as well as job insecurity; it is therefore vital that you exercise your right to vote in this election. A future government must treat our members with dignity and respect at work and acknowledge that PCS will continue to hold power to account.
