Ask your General Election candidates to support the Four-Day Week

The 4 Day Week campaign is a group campaigning for a shorter working week with no loss of pay.

Delegates at our annual delegates conference last month agreed to affiliate to the 4 Day Week Campaign which is asking supporters to email their prospective parliamentary candidates to sign a Four-Day Week Pledge.

PCS members in EFRA group are already running a campaign for a four-day week to be piloted in their employer, and have already reached an agreement to explore the idea with their employer.

They have also written a report about how a four-day week would benefit staff.

Trials that have taken place so far have proven that a four-day working week with no loss of pay leads to a happier, healthier and more productive workforce – things that benefit the employer, the employee and the taxpayer.

Use the Four-day week email template to contact your candidates to ask them to support the campaign. Find out who your local candidates are.
