Who's it for
Everyone

The annual TUC Chainmakers Festival recognises and celebrates the efforts of trade unionist and women’s rights campaigner, Mary Macarthur, and women across the county, who successfully campaigned to abolish exploitative wages within their industry by staging a ten-week strike in 1910.

PCS will be joining many other unions from across the movement at the festival, starting with a short march through Cradley Heath to the Mary Macarthur Gardens, where there will be trade union stalls, speakers, music, street theatre and refreshments available.

PCS NEC member, Angela Grant, will represent PCS on the Campaigning Women panel event alongside other women speakers from across the movement.

This is a free, family friendly event.

If you would like to help out on the PCS stall on the day, or if you need more information, please contact Clairem@pcs.org.uk.
