Northern Pride

Northern Pride takes place from 19-21 July. If you are thinking of heading to Northern Pride and would like to meet up beforehand, The Northern TUC has organised a pre-Pride brunch and meet-up on Saturday 20 July from 10 - 11am at Unite House, John Dobson Street, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 8TW.  

Join the Northern TUC LGBT+ Forum and other members from across the union movement for a pre-march brunch and get together, before heading off on the march.

This is the perfect opportunity to highlight the role trade unions play in achieving positive change for LGBT+ communities and show just how much support there is within the movement. 

Out North-East - other Pride events in Northern England 

Out North- East is a new events charity which focuses on raising awareness and educating the wider community on the issues and difficulties affecting the lives of LGBT+ people. They also seek to challenge homophobia, biphobia and transphobia. Out North East is keen to promote Pride history including their Emerald 55 project commemorating the 55th anniversary of the Stonewall riots in 1969, a watershed moment in the history of LGBT+ rights.

Out North-East has organised further month-long Pride events in South Tyneside (July), and Gateshead (August)
