Union calls for more resources to be made available to the Home Office
Responding to today’s news the UK’s asylum backlog has risen to a record high, PCS Head of Bargaining Paul O’Connor said: “The best way to reduce the unacceptable backlog of asylum seekers is to provide more resources to the Home Office.
“This means properly training and paying staff so they can carry out the work quickly, efficiently and humanely.”
