MYVC campaign helps slash BNP vote

The racist and fascist British National Party appears to have been soundly beaten, as local election and greater London authority results flood in.
Another successful campaign by anti-racist, anti-fascist groups with PCS members across the country working on our Make Your Vote Campaign has ensured that the far right vote has been slashed and their councillors have failed to gain or retain seats in key areas. The BNP's vote has collapsed and in some of its strongest wards it is down almost 50% from 2008, the last time these seats were contested.
Places like Burnley are now BNP-free zones, with no BNP councillors at all, for the first time in 10 years.
Detailed results will be posted on Monday, but well done to all those who have worked so hard on this campaign. No hate, no fear.
