Make 20 October biggest anti-austerity march ever

24 July 2012

With your help the TUC demonstrations in London, Belfast and Glasgow on 20 October could make history.

Say no to austerity coverRecord numbers will march, united by a shared anger at the prevailing double standards, where banks who caused the deficit continue to mess up and yet remain above the law; where  the super-rich blatantly fiddle their taxes as the majority of us experience job losses, pay cuts and hikes in the cost of living and where our vulnerable suffer the harshest welfare and benefit cuts for decades. We call for a fairer economic system that promotes our industries and provides jobs, especially for our youth.

PCS is proud of our reputation for leading the fightback against these austerity measures. We are challenging this governments slash and burn approach to the public sector, every step of the way. Therefore, we want our presence on 20 October to be record-breaking.

We are looking for members and their family and friends to help promote this event and inspire people who haven't taken action before. We want your positive stories and pics from the national rally last March and/or quotes/statements to use in our publicity to demonstrate why they should join you and yours on 20 October march.

We also want to hear your interesting and quirky plans for making 20 October special. Email View editor Jonathan Lovett: jonathanl@pcs.org.uk
