This year's theme for Refugee Week, which runs until Sunday, highlights refugee contributions to the London Olympics.

On the official website there are stories of ‘unsung heroes 2012;' people who against the odds and despite difficult histories have become an integral part of the games through their endeavours. Anyone happy to tell their story is invited to contribute to the site.

You can get involved by taking part in a local event, thousands of which take place across the UK. You can also do a ‘simple act’ which can be anything from cooking a dish from another country to reading a book about exile or telling a child a story from another country. You can take your inspiration from the website.
