Major recruitment campaign in Northern Ireland

12 June 2012

A major campaign to recruit and organise PCS members in Northern Ireland is being launched this week.

Project 100, which will be launched tomorrow morning at the annual general meeting of the PCS Regional Committee for Ireland, aims to recruit at least 100 new members in Northern Ireland between June and September.

The AGM will also see the launch of a new magazine for activists in Northern Ireland - OrgaNIse - and will be followed by a reception at Stormont from 4-6pm.

The union is relying on members and reps to go out into the workplace and recruit new members. A special application form has been produced and the name of each new member who signs up will be placed into a prize draw to win an Amazon Kindle e-reader.

By making organising a priority we are sending a message that we are determined to defend ourselves and win the national campaign to defend our pensions, pay and jobs. With more PCS members we will be stronger.
