Get your voice heard on 30 November

14 November 2011

To support the action on 30 November we are looking for people who are willing to share how much they will lose with local and national media

We are looking for a range of people, whether they are first-time strikers or veterans of many disputes, to talk to TV, radio or newspaper journalists. We anticipate there will be a lot of interest in the coming days and we are looking for members to explain why they are striking, how much they earn, what they will lose because of the pension changes and how they are struggling to make ends meet because of the impact of the cuts.

We are also looking for people to be case studies for our national magazines View and Activate, and to possibly feature on other materials related to our national campaign against the cuts. We would love to have quotes from members on picket lines describing the experience of taking action.

If you would like to take part please contact Activate editor Dave Tilley, email davidt@pcs.org.uk or call 020 7801 2744, with private email address and mobile phone number. Please be prepared to be contacted both in the run-up to the strike and on the day itself.

If you are a civil servant please remember you will have to adhere to the civil service management code when talking to the media.

Help make sure everyone understands that public sector workers will have to pay more for smaller pensions - and most will have to work longer too.
