Round-up of anti-cuts events - 11,12, 13, 14 March

Conservative MP Charlotte Leslie is debating the need for cuts with trades unionists and campaigners in her Bristol North constituency this evening.

She will go head-to-head with Huw Williams of the local anti-cuts alliance at 7.30pm on Friday 11 March in Horfield United Reformed Church, Muller Road, Bristol, BS7 9RE. Contact: admin@bristolanticutsalliance.org.uk


Anti-cuts events on Saturday 12 March include:

11am– 7pm: Arts against cuts  weekend. University of London Union, Malet street, London,  WC1E 7HY.  Arts Against the Cuts 

11am: Just art for a change – anti-cuts arts project. Rootstein Hopkins Parade Ground, Chelsea College of Art and Design, 16 John Islip street, London, SW1P 4JU.

12pm to 3pm: Southend against the cuts march and rally. Meet at Pier Hill, Southend-on-Sea, SS1 2EQ, then march to rally at Victoria Circus, SS1 1TJ. Southend against the cuts

1.30pm- 3.30pm: Public meeting on the cuts. Tithe Barn, Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, NN8 1AH.


Anti-cuts events on Sunday 13 March:

11am: Call a radio station and request ‘No Surprises’ by Radiohead which includes the line  “Bring down the government, they don’t speak for us”.  Nick Clegg and David Cameron have both listed Radiohead as one of their favourite bands. Organised by They Don’t Speak for us

7pm: The Shepway campaign against all cuts public meeting. All Souls Church Hall, Somerset Road, Folkestone, CT19 4HE. Contact: src@pcs.org.uk
